ProCell
Procell Therapies (Microchanneling and Stem Cell Therapy) was founded in 2013 by Dr. Mitchell Schwartz. During his 30+ years as a practicing dermatologist he had observed the limitations and damage caused by other anti-aging systems. With ProCell he could provide skin rejuvenation that you can see with better results in a safe and non-invasive way.
Microchanneling
Microchanneling is a noninvasive procedure designed to stimulate your body’s own natural ability to generate collagen, elastin, and other building blocks of healthy skin. By stimulating the outermost layers of the skin, microchanneling can help your body start this process without penetrating into living tissue.
Rejuvenation
Rejuvenation is the reversal of aging and thus requires repair of the damage that is associated with aging or replacement of damaged tissue with new tissue. Facial rejuvenation refers to any cosmetic treatment that renews the surface appearance of the skin. Rejuvenation treatments are typically for superficial skin concerns such as wrinkles, dark spots, scarring, and skin laxity, which are all skin-related concerns that occur on the upper-to-mid layers of the dermis.
Peptides
Peptides are amino acids that are the building blocks of certain proteins needed by the skin, like collagen and elastin. Using a serum or moisturizer that contains peptides can lead to firmer, younger-looking skin and maybe even fewer breakouts.
Growth factors
Growth factors are natural substances made by the skin cells that support the repair of damaged skin, as a result of aging or environmental factors. They promote the formation of collagen and elastin to provide firmness and elasticity.
Growth factors are proteins that stimulate cell growth, division, and, differentiation. They play crucial roles in development, tissue repair, and wound healing.
Collagen
Collagen is a protein that serves as one of the main building blocks for your bones, skin, hair, muscles, tendons, and ligaments. Collagen is what keeps our skin from sagging, giving us that plump, youthful look.
Elastin
Elastin is what allows skin to stretch and then regain its original shape. It functions in unison with collagen as they are both found in the connective tissue, and perform similar functions. Elastin is actually 1000 times more flexible than collagen.
Collagen vs. Elastin
What’s the difference between collagen and elastin? Although the two proteins are closely associated and work together, they have two totally opposing jobs. Collagen provides rigidity and strength whereas elastin allows the skin to be flexible and bounce back to its original shape.
Collagen Banking
Involves stimulating the body’s natural collagen production through methods like laser therapy, microneedling, and ultrasound. These treatments encourage the skin to produce more collagen over time, leading to improved skin texture, elasticity, and overall appearance. To enhance and maintain collagen levels for long-term skin health and rejuvenation.
Exosomes
Exosomes are small vesicles released by cells that facilitate communication by transferring proteins, lipids, and RHA between cells. They play roles in immune responses and tissue repair
Stem cells
Stem cells naturally have antioxidant properties and they nourish skin cells which promotes cell turnover and increases collagen production. Stem cells can raise the volume and structure of the face and achieve a more youthful appearance, and also aid in the repair and rejuvenation of the skin for up to 18 months. This is possible because stem cells have the amazing ability to recognize and repair damaged tissue.
Cytokines
Cytokines are long chain proteins that target inflammation, the leading cause of aging. They are produced by the immune system. Cytokines (hormone-like polypeptide mediators) play a major role in inflammatory and immunoregulatory responses. Skin, and particularly keratinocytes in the skin, represent a potent source for many cytokines, including Interferons Chemokines, Interleukins (many interleukins are considered to be lymphokines), and TNF (tumor necrosis factor)
Hyaluronic acid
Hyaluronic acid helps skin stretch and flex and reduces skin wrinkles and lines. Hyaluronic acid is also proven to help wounds heal faster and can reduce scarring. Hyaluronic acid is used as a humectant — a substance that helps the skin hold on to water. It helps hydrate the outer layers of skin, thereby improving the skin’s appearance. Hyaluronic acid is well known for its skin benefits, especially alleviating dry skin, reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles and speeding up wound healing.
Inflammation
Skin inflammation is a sign of an immune response in the body. Symptoms can include redness, heat, itching, sensitivity, and swelling. Inflammation happens when your body is trying to protect itself against infection, injury, an irritant, or disease. It’s very normal and happens to everyone, and, in many cases, you wouldn’t be able to heal without it.
